229 - MORPETH TOURISM PROMOTION

That this House:

  1. Notes the Government's official tourism website, Destination NSW, acknowledges that the historic river town of Morpeth, in the electorate of Maitland, is a premier boutique shopping and dining precinct.

  2. Notes that tourism to Morpeth makes a significant contribution to the Maitland economy.

  3. Calls on the Government to urgently instruct the Roads and Maritime Services to erect Morpeth signage on the M1 Motorway and Hunter Expressway to increase Morpeth's visibility and accessibility.
