Sienna Compton
Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland—Minister for Roads, and Minister for Regional Transport) (18:17): I congratulate Sienna Compton, school captain of St Aloysius Catholic Primary School in Chisholm, on her outstanding results in two recent swimming meets. Scheduling meant that the two major swimming meets were held in two different States last month, but that did not stop Sienna competing in both Sydney and Brisbane. At the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association Championships, Sienna shattered four multi‑class records, claimed five gold medals and was honoured as multi‑class swimmer of the meet with the Gregson Shield. Straight off the plane to Brisbane, Sienna then produced two personal bests in the 200-metre individual medley, secured a spot in the finals and proudly brought home bronze, ranking third nationally in her age and classification at the Swimming Australia Age and Multi-Class Age Championships. A dedicated NUSwim athlete who also competes in gymnastics, Sienna's resilience, focus and sheer talent are an inspiration to us all. We eagerly anticipate Sienna's results at the School Sport Australia nationals in October. Go Sienna!
