Ms JENNY AITCHISON (Maitland)—I rise to acknowledge Peter Drain on his 27 years of service with the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS). He joined the Lochinvar Brigade in 1994 and remains an active member to this day. Over this time, Peter has held the roles of permit issuing officer, callout officer, treasurer, training officer and equipment officer. He's also been Deputy Captain, Senior Deputy Captain and Captain. Peter sets an inspiring example in his continuation to strive for excellence and has achieved outstanding results through hard work. His distinguished service to the community and NSW RFS, devotion, care and equality has acquired him the respect of his peers. Peter has been involved in a vast number of incidents throughout the Lower Hunter, while being a regular volunteer for out of area deployments. He was awarded Life Membership at Lochinvar in 2016. Peter is a worthy recipient of the National Medal 1st Clasp. Congratulations Peter and thank you for your service.
