31 May 2017

Member for Maitland, Jenny Aitchison MP has congratulated Morpeth Public School on once again being named as one of 9 finalists in Hunter Water’s The Water Catchers competition.

The Water Catchers is a free program and gives students the opportunity not just to star in their own short film, but to win money for a sustainability project at their school.
The nine finalist schools will share in $10,000 prize money to be used for a sustainability project at their school. The winning school, as judged by the public and a panel of judges, will receive a $5,000 cash prize. Second place will receive a $1,500 cash prize.
The remaining seven finalist schools will each receive a $500 cash prize.
All 9 finalist’s short films can be viewed by visiting https://www.thewatercatchers.com.au/ and make sure you vote for your favourite. Voting closes on 16th June 2017.
