Media Release - 2021 Community Building Partnership Program Now Open

Media Release - 2021 Community Building Partnership Program Now Open Main Image

18 April 2021

Member for Maitland Jenny Aitchison is encouraging eligible community organisations to apply for a share in the $300,000 available to the Maitland electorate through the 2021 Community Building Partnership (CBP) grants program.

Community Building Partnership grants are available annually for community infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

Ms Aitchison said the CBP funds would deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities that will assist a wide-range of groups across the community.

“Local sports clubs, charities, schools and museums are just some of the groups that can benefit from this program”.

“Last year’s round saw 15 local organisations and clubs secure funding. Among the recipients was The Maitland Repertory Theatre, East Maitland Girl Guides, Youth Express, Maitland Men’s Shed, Millers Forest Community Hall and Maitland Family Day Care.”

“If your organisation or club needs extra funding for infrastructure, such as playgrounds, accessibility features, equipment or refurbishment projects, then I would strongly encourage you to apply.”

Applications open from Monday 19 April and will close at 5pm, Friday 14 May 2021.

Applicants must read the program guidelines to ensure their club or organisation and the proposed project are eligible.
