ROADMAP CHANGES - 7 October 2021

This morning the Premier announced some new changes to the 70% road map for double vaccinated residents. Thanks to everyone who’s had the jab, NSW has achieved a state-wide average of 70% of people over the age of 16 being double dosed.

After much confusion, the government has today confirmed:

  • Regional workers with a single vaccination may work from 11 October but must be double dosed by 1 November (excluding industries with mandatory vaccination requirements, ie. education and care workers, health workers, airport workers etc.).

Other changes to the roadmap announced today, include:

  • All school students will now return to face-to-face learning by 25 October, with the first cohort (kindergarten, year 1 and year 12) still returning on 18 October.

  • You will be allowed 10 visitors to a home (not counting children 12 and under) - previously 5.

  • Lift the cap on outdoor gatherings to 30 people (previously 20).

  • Increase the cap for weddings and funerals to 100 people (previously 50).

  • Indoor pools will re-open for swimming lessons, squad training, lap swimming and rehab activities this Monday 11 October.

  • Masks no-longer required in offices from 80%.

I’m hopeful these changes will all be reflected here soon: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/easing-covid-19-restrictions
