COVID-19 UPDATE 1 OCTOBER 2021

There were 864 new local cases in NSW. 1,055 in hospital. 210 in intensive care.


The Statewide vaccination rates confirmed by NSW Health are: 87.2% first dose 64% second dose (fully vaccinated)


HNE Health have confirmed 69 new cases COVID-19 for the New England Health Area.

The 69 new cases take the total number in the current outbreak to 988. There are currently 658 active cases.

16 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital. 2 are in ICU. 36 are linked, 13 are unlinked, and 20 are still under investigation. 37 were infectious in the community. - 11 were isolating while infectious. - 21 are still under investigation. 570 close contacts are in isolation.
