To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales.

This Petition of the citizens of New South Wales brings to the attention of the House that after 12 long years under the Liberals and Nationals, we have seen a chronic underinvestment in our health system.

Despite the best efforts of our health workers, people are now waiting longer than ever for ambulances, and when they finally get to hospital, they are waiting longer to get treated. Our health workers and our patients deserve better.

The undersigned petitioners therefore calls on the NSW Government to immediately increase staffing at Maitland Hospital.
