Notice of Motion - Maitland Local Government Area - Ambulance resources

327 - MAITLAND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA - AMBULANCE RESOURCES

  1. Notes the Maitland Local Government Area has one dedicated road ambulance and one support vehicle to service its population of more than 80,000.

  2. Notes media reports that the number of patients arriving at Maitland Hospital by ambulance in the first quarter of 2019 increased by 13.2 per cent year on year.

  3. Condemns the Government for putting the citizens of Maitland at potential risk through inadequate resourcing.

  4. Calls on the Government to urgently increase ambulance resources in the Maitland electorate.
